Simulation based product development at Cummins Inc. and the evolution of optimization, automation and robustness

This presentation will highlight the evolution of modeling and simulation at Cummins Inc. The current initiative at Cummins is Simulation Based Product Development (SBPD) which focuses on leveraging simulation and complementary testing to deliver robust products that are right first time. As Cummins continues to rely on simulation-based approaches, there is a need to leverage our human capital as well as continually improve our tools and methods to meet the needs of our businesses and their customers.
