Laura Balasso

Research Engineer
ESTECO

Laura Balasso is a PhD candidate at Politecnico di Torino, conducting her research at ESTECO within an industrial collaboration. Her work focuses on the development of data-driven reduced order modeling techniques based on machine learning. In particular, she investigates approaches aimed at improving flexibility and accuracy in the presence of geometric variability, exploring the use of geometric deep learning methods to overcome the limitations of traditional techniques. Prior to starting her PhD, she worked in the R&D team at Optimad-ESTECO, contributing to research and development activities in an industrial context and participating in several European research projects.
